Marcus has been riding bikes since he was a kid, but started riding seriously around 2005 and although he enjoys all types of riding, his main love is mountain biking. At the shop you can find him doing everything from bleeding disc brakes, to servicing Di2 components, to installing a kickstand on a kids first bike. He is always looking for the newest bikes around and the coolest components to outfit them with. He has been in the bike industry since 2008, when he came to work for higher ground. Since then he has trained with multiple bicycle and component companies and has attended technical training sessions around the country. He recently was selected by Shimano to attend a special multi-day training camp at their headquarters in Irvine, California, where he went through an extensive hands on clinic to become Shimano S-Tec certified in many areas including Di2, wheel & hubs, pedals, shoes, and hydraulic disc brakes.
